South Korea had >85% fully vaccinated people and >35% also had boosters as of 31st December 2021.

The population of Korea is just 51 million.

Till 31st December 2021 i.e., in two years of COVID-19, the total number of COVID-19 cases was 635253, and COVID deaths were 5563 i.e., only 1.25% of people in Korea had COVID infection in two years and 0.01% died of COVID19.

In 75 days of 2022, in almost fully vaccinated and well-masked South Korea cases of COVID-19 swelled to >7.6 million, meaning almost 15% of people had COVID-19 infection and 5918 people died (~0.012%) of COVID-19 (more than those who died in two years).
